This year's IAS Annual Meeting will be entirely online, similar to last year's. The Presentations and Posters list and Schedule will be open to all visitors. To actually view and discuss the presentations, posters, and live events in a relatively secure environment, all participants must register in advance by January 10 and log in to the meeting from January 2 through February 11. Live, interactive events via Zoom are scheduled from Thursday, January 12 through Sunday, January 15. A final list of registrants' names* will be posted shortly after January 10. For security reasons, no registration is allowed after January 10.
* Participants with safety concerns may contact the Community Resource Officer (CRO@andeanstudies.org) with justification for a request for an exemption from the public registrants list.
PRESENTING AT THE MEETING
To propose a presentation or poster, use the Submission Form. Details and instructions are below (see "Submitting a Presentation or Poster Proposal").
ABOUT THE MEETING
The video presentations and posters, with fora for written comments and replies, will be available to view at any time from the start of early viewing on January 2, 2023, through the end of the extended viewing period on February 11, 2023. In addition, the presenters will participate in live, scheduled discussions, most with four authors of intersecting presentations, with all Meeting participants able to comment and ask questions. Two keynotes, a Presidential Lecture, and live discussions will round out the schedule. There is no topical theme this year, but we continue to welcome presentations and posters touching on the general field of Andean studies (presentations/posters of broad relevance to the field as a whole are encouraged).
REGISTRATION FEE
Registration fees for this year's Annual Meeting are voluntary. IAS recommends a donation of $40 USD for professionals and $10 for students. Registrants will be directed to a payment page following submission of the registration/submission form. All funds are much appreciated and go to support IAS' future programming and operational costs.
